Tuesday
Weather
A mainly sunny day but with bubbly cloud occasionally casting a bit of shade. A cool WNW’ly breeze (about force 3, occasionally 4) will keep temperatures below 20 in most parts except for Town. As for the beaches, then Fermain willl probably be the warmest.
Surf and Tide
3 feet and choppy on the west coast in the morning, then 2 feet and fairly clean in the evening, when winds fall light. High water will be about 8.2m at 10:10am. Low water will be about 2.3m at 4:20pm.
Wednesday
Weather
Light and variable breezes will mean that the plentiful sunshine feels a bit warmer than on Tuesday, and all areas should comfortably reach 20C. With so little variation around the island, all beaches should be equally lovely so my recommendation is just to head to your personal favourite.
Surf and Tide
1-2 feet and clean at Vazon, but rather weak. Not very exciting for most of us, but really pretty perfect for the youngsters on their foamies. High water will be about 7.9m at 10:40am. Low water will be about 2.6m at 4:50pm.
Thursday and Friday
With high pressure stretched across the Channel, the sky will be mostly sunny by day and clear by night. Winds will only be light; rarely stronger than force 2, mainly W’ly on Thursday and mainly N’ly on Friday. Temperatures will probably rise by about half a degree per day, such that we comfortably hit 22-23C in the warmest areas on Friday. In the surf, we should see a lovely new 3-foot swell kick in by Thursday evening, and then stay with us through Friday, when we will also be blessed with a Small tidal range.
The Weekend
Staying dry with spells of hazy sunshine. However, a slight increase in the strength of the N’ly wind a bit more in the way of cloud, will make mean that some parts of the island don't feel as toasty as on the previous days. That said, the sheltered south coast spots, like Saints Bay, will be absolutely in their element.
Look out for my next forecast update on Wednesday evening (campsite wifi permitting).
