Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 22 March 2019

### SATURDAY

WEATHER

Hazy sunshine for most of the day. Much like Friday. The breeze will be a marginally stiffer NE’ly though, which will probably keep us about a degree cooler. Clouding over during the evening though, with a bit of must and drizzle later in the night.

SURF AND TIDES

Cleanish 4 foot surf on the west coast in the morning and again at dusk. Maybe something cleaner but also smaller at Petit Port in the mid-late morning too. Huge tides. High water will be 10m at 8:10am. Low will be great for the likes of Lihou or Joannet Bay at 2:40pm.

SUNDAY

WEATHER

The overnight cloudy, mist and drizzle will probably linger until late morning. After that, the sunshine will be brighter and less hazy than on the Saturday, but this will be due to the air being cooler {and therefore clearer}. A UV index of 4-5, and a rather chilly NNE’ly wind, will be two good reasons to keep your clothes on, unless you go back to that nice secluded spot along the south coast that is.

SURF AND TIDES

Smaller and choppier surf I'm afraid. The won't be quite as massive. High water will be 9.7m at 8:50am. Low water at 3:10pm.

MONDAY

WEATHER

Almost identical to Sunday in terms of the force 4 NNE’ly wind the sunshine and the modest top temperature of about 11C. Just keep heading to the south coast for the most pleasantly sheltered conditions. Other good little nooks, will be in the northern corners of the west coast bays, such as up near Fort Hommet or Fort Grande Rocque.

SURF AND TIDES

Surf advice, identical to the previous day. Tides a bit smaller and later though, with a 9.1m high at 9:20 am and a 1.3m low at 3:40pm.

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY

High pressure will continue to bring dry weather and sunshine, along with force 3-4 breezes from somewhere between north and east. At times, when the wind is a bit lighter and more from the east than the north, then the west-coast surf should be pretty good, albeit only small and suitable for longboards. Tides will reduce to a more normal size, with highs in the late morning and lows in the late afternoon.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

With the high pressure centre coming almost directly overhead, we will hang on to the sunny skies, but lighter winds will allow greater heating day by day, such that temperatures manage to peak in the mid teens, and everything feels decidedly spring-like. Enjoy!

The next forecast update will be probably be on Sunday evening.
