### THURSDAY
WEATHER
Hazy sunshine for most of the day. Much like Wednesday, there will be some cloud at times, but it will come and go fairly quickly, rather than bring a downhill trend. The breeze will be light and variable, eventually settling into an E’ly direction. Thus means that all parts should feel very comfortable, as we reach our 12-13C max during the middle if the day, but the west coast will probably have the edge, when people are knocking if work of school.
SURF AND TIDES
1-2-feet and clean, with small tides. High water will be 6.8m at 11:20am. Low will be 3.7m at 5:30pm.
FRIDAY
WEATHER
Carrying on just as Thursday left off. The prolonged sunny conditions means that we could see another degree on our thermometers. However, the ENE’ly breeze might be marginally more noticeable, perhaps as much as force 3-4 in the afternoon. So, on balance, it will feel pretty much the same. Petit Port will probably be the pick of the beaches, but the west coast should be lovely too, especially right up against the sun-soaked sea-walls.
SURF AND TIDES
2 feet and cleanish. Tiny (almost in-noticeable) tidal movements; high water will be 6.2m at 12:30am. Low water 4.1m at 7pm.
SATURDAY
WEATHER
Definitely the warmer half of the weekend, with conditions only slightly cloudier than the previous days, but still very sunny for the most part. Temperatures should be as least as high as on Friday. However, with the breeze starting off as a SE’ly and finishing as a NW’ly, the warmest location will be a shifting goal post… north and west coasts in the morning, followed by east and south coasts in the afternoon.
SURF AND TIDES
With another 2 foot Dayna the cards, it would be wise to pounce on the west coast during the morning, when the winds are offshore there. High water will just be a tiny 6.2m at 2:30pm.
SUNDAY AND MONAY
A weak cold front will have swept through by Sunday morning. Not the kind that brings rain, just a little cloud and most importantly colder air. This will mean that, despite yet more sunshine, our top temperature on Sunday will only be 10-11C and the wind-chill from the force 4-5 NE’ly will make it feel quite a lot cooler. The south coast cliff paths will certainly be the most sheltered places to head to. On Monday, progressively cool air will have nudged further southwards, so max temperatures will be a degree lower again. However, little else will have changed, so the advice still stands about heading to the south coast for the most pleasant conditions.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY
Thirsty gardens are set to finally receive a much-missed sprinkling. At least one of these days, will have a few heavy showers, as we settle into a NW’ly air flow. Temperatures will stay on the cool side of average, but Town tends to fair well in a NW’ly, so we might still see max temps of 11-12C there, whilst the rest of the island struggles to exceed 10C.
The next forecast update will be at the weekend.
