Friday
Weather
A fairly cloudy day, but it's not all bad. Far from it. For a start, we should get up to a max of 17C. There's only a slim chance of a little light rain during the middle part if the day. Whereas the morning and evening commutes should both be dry, with some pleasant hazy sunshine managing to break through. Winds will be on the strong side though (force 5-6 SSW’ly), so in order to make the most of the warmth you will need to find shelter. Some top spots for that include the road to Pleinmont and the Richmond end of Vazon.
Surf and Tide
An awesome day for surfing and windsurfing. The west coast should have clean 4-footers through most of the day, which will then jump up to about 6 feet towards dusk. Low water will be 2.5m at 11:10am, then high water will be 8.7m at 5:10pm.
Saturday
Weather
Another day of very strong SSW’ly winds, until they veer to a moderate NW’ly in the evening. As for the weather, we are certainly expecting a few hours of fairly heavy rain but the timing is uncertain. It will most likely take out the entire afternoon and evening, but we might get lucky and get a couple of bonus dry hours in the early afternoon. Once again, it will be a relatively warm wind, so despite the foul weather we should peak at about 17 degrees again.
Surf and Tide
Another amazing day for surfing and windsurfing. The west coast should have clean 8 footers through most of the day, and we might even be treated to 2 or 3 feet on the north coast. Low water will be at lunchtime, high water will be 8.9m and 9.3m respectively at roughly 6am and 6pm.
Sunday
Weather
Don't forget the clock change everybody! A cool NE’ly breeze (about force 4 for the most part), will bring a mostly cloudy but dry day, with just a few sunny intervals. The top temp will be a rather pathetic 13C I'm afraid, but this should feel more pleasant if you head to the south coast beaches and cliff paths.
Surf and Tide
We could be in for some fun 2-footers down at Petit Port mid-morning, but nothing else is looking too special surf-wise. Low water will be at midday, high water will be 9.4m and 9.7m respectively at roughly 5:30am and 5:50pm.
Next Week
With high-pressure centred over the north of the UK, we will probably have strong ENE’ly winds at least until Thursday. This will bring a mixed bag of cloud and weak sunshine, along with a few light showers here and there. Temperatures will certainly be on the cool side of an average, with quite a bit of wind-chill to boot. The biggest tides will be on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. No worries at all for the west coast this time. However, for the east coast, the onshore winds look likely to be a consistent force 6, meaning that we should probably brace ourselves for a bit of overtoppi
