Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 10 February 2026

Image uploaded by Amy Madden

Wednesday

Weather

Just like the last two days, the afternoons will be much wetter than the mornings, and much of that rain will come with very low cloud, meaning that there will be more mist and fog at the airport (amongst other places). The wind will be a fresh force 5 W’ly at dawn, backing to a light force 3 S’ly by dusk. The morning might have some brief sunny spells in between the showers, but the afternoon will be cloudy with rain throughout. Temperatures will peak at 11°C by day and then only fall to about 9°C by night.

Surf and the Water

Tiny tidal movements with just the hint of a high at lunchtime (6.4m). The morning will be best for windsurfing and kitesurfing on the west coast, and for swimming on the east coast. The afternoon will be best for surfing on the west and north coasts (10+ feet on the west, 4-5 feet on the north)..

Thursday

Weather

Fresh force 5 WNW’ly winds will bring a much brighter day, although there will be some shower clouds in the area, so we are likely to receive a few brief downpours, especially in the afternoon. The air temperature will be much the same as of late though, with a daytime max of 11°C. It will become cooler overnight though, with a min temp of roughly 7°C. The east coast feeling most comfortable throughout.

Surf and the Water

Huge but regrettably very messy surf. The west coast waves will be well over 12 feet but it could be good up at Pembroke, close to the wall. The east coast will be sheltered enough for swimmers though, especially at Fermain. Tiny tidal movements again, with just the hint of a high around 2:30pm (6.4m).

Friday

Weather

Cloudy with occasional rain, but the heaviness and persistence of which is very uncertain. At the moment, the most likely descriptors would be light and patchy, but I don’t want to commit to this story, when current forecast models suggest that it will be persistent and heavy just a few miles away in Normandy. Either way, with the wind backing from a force 3-4 SSE’ly at dawn to a force 5-6 NNE’ly by dusk, it’s going to be a relatively chilly day, with temperatures likely climbing no higher than 8°C, before falling to 4-5°C overnight.

Surf and the Water

The surf will likely be 6-8 feet and clean in the morning and then 5-6 feet and rather choppy in the afternoon. Tidal movements will be pretty tiny again, with low tide around 10am and then high tide around 4pm (roughly 6.9m).

The Weekend

Weather

A couple of really contrasting days. Sunny on Saturday but with a very cold N’ly wind, strong force 6 at dawn, relaxing to moderate force 4 by dusk. Max temp around 7°C by day, min temp of 3-4°C in the evening (with the chance of a ground frost. By Sunday morning however, a force 5 S’ly wind will have brought cloudy and drizzly skies, with temperatures having already climbed to 8°C. By dusk, with now real change in the dreary weather but the wind increasing to a strong force 6 SW’ly, the temperature will have climbed to about 10°C. Saturday will obviously be the better weather day, but you will need to wrap up warm and I would definitely recommend heading to the south coast if you want to go for a nice long walk.

Surf and the Water

Sunday will definitely be the better surf day, in terms of wave quality. Size-wise it will be about 3-4 feet on the west coast both days. Tides will be low in the late mornings and high around dusk (7.1m on Saturday and 7.7m on Sunday).

The next forecast update will be on Friday…
