Guernsey Weather Fox

Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 10 May 2026

Sunday

Weather

Mostly sunny, but sometimes a bit cloudy. Deffo dry though, and not quite as windy as Sunday, when the NE’ly was a force 5. This time we will start with a moderate force 4 NE’ly and finish with a light force 3 NW’ly. The daytime slightly warmer than Sunday but the night time slightly colder… max 14°C, min 7°C.

Surf and the Water

Flat surf, but the possibility of some kitesurfing or windsurfing in the first half of the morning, and some south-coast swimming in the afternoon. Tides will be low at 8:30am and 6.8m high at 2:30pm.

Tuesday

Weather

Slightly lighter winds again (force 2-3 W’ly), and a similarly large amount of sunshine (especially in the morning). Temperatures will peak around 15°C in most parts but maybe 16°C in Town. The evening will become rather cloudy though, so after a colourful sunset, the overnight period should be quite well insulated, and windier too… only allowing the temperature to drop to 10 or 11°C.

Surf and the Water

Flat again for surfers, and not windy enough for windsurfers or kitesurfers (except perhaps for an hour or two before dusk). Swimming conditions will be nice on all coasts in the morning, and certainly on the east coast during the afternoon. Tides will be low at 9:40am and 7.2m high at 3:45pm.

Wednesday to Friday

Weather

Sunshine and showers in varying proportions each day. Wednesday will probably see significantly more sunshine than showers, but the W’ly wind will be fresh force 5, so it will feel pretty chilly. Max temp around 14°C and min temp around 9-10°C. Thursday will have a moderate force 4 NW‘ly wind and the showers will likely be more frequent than on Wednesday… max temp only 13°C and the min temp 9-10°C again. Friday will likely be the driest day, with a moderate force 4 N’ly wind. It’s likely to turn wet overnight though, as the wind backs WNW’ly and temperatures don’t fall any lower than 10-11°C. Sheltered coasts will always be best for a more comfortable outdoor experience… east coast on Wednesday, then south coast on Thursday and Friday.

Surf and the Water

Some choppy sloppy 2 foot surf on Wednesday and Friday, but some slightly stronger 3-4 foot surf on Thursday. Wednesday will likely be best of all for windsurfing and kitesurfing, then Thursday and Friday for swimming down on the south coast. Tides will be increasing in size… high water shifting from late afternoon on Wednesday to dinnertime by Thursday and Friday ( 7.8m, 8.3m and 8.8m respectively).

The Weekend

Weather

Friday night’s rain will probably linger into Saturday morning, but then the majority of the weekend should be dry and reasonably sunny, until some showers develop towards Sunday evening. Winds will be WNW’ly in direction… moderate force 4 on Saturday, then light force 2-3 on Sunday. Max temps 14°C and 15-16°C respectively. Overnight minima around 9°C and 7°C resepcively.

Surf and the Water

Big tides, with highs at breakfast time and dinnertime, increasing incrementally from 9m on Saturday morning to 9.4m on Sunday evening. Swimming conditions will generally be best on the east coast, whilst over on the west coast, the surf will be frustratingly flat, yet again.

The next forecast update will most likely be on Wednesday…
