Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 15 May 2026

Saturday

Weather

Apart from a little sunshine around dawn, we are looking at a mostly cloudy day. Most of it will be dry though… just a spitty spotty shower here and there, breakfast time/mid-morning and perhaps one or two in the afternoon. But it probably won’t be until late evening and the night time that we see enough wetness to form a puddle or two. Winds will be W’ly light force 3, occasionally tickling moderate force 4°C, making it feel marginally milder than the previous days, especially in Town... max temp probably 14°C but possibly 15°C. Then nice and mild overnight, with the temperature staying in double figures… 10-11°C for the min.

Surf and the Water

Flat surf on the west coast, but nice swimming conditions on the east. With Friday’s new moon, the tides are approaching their peak springiness for this month… highs of 9m at 6:45am and 9.2m at 7:10pm. Low water will be at 1:10pm.

Sunday

Weather

Cloudy with showers until 10 or 11am, then increasing sunshine and decreasing wind. So with that double whammy of improvement, we should see max temps of 15°C around the Island and maybe 16°C in Town... certainly feeling warmest in Town, with the light force 3 breeze being WNW’ly in direction. Perhaps rather cool in the evening, around dusk, but then turning mild later in the night, as a moderate SW’ly breeze brings cloud skies again.

Surf and the Water

Some 2-3 foot surf on the west coast by the end of the day, and once again some nice swimming conditions on the east coast. Even bigger tides… highs of 9.3m at 7:35am and 9.4m at 7:55pm. Low water will be at 1:55pm.

Monday and Tuesday

Weather

A mostly cloudy and increasingly windy Monday, with a SSW’ly wind increasing from moderate force 4 at dawn to strong force 6 by midnight. There’s only the chance of a few spits and spots through daytime Monday, but then there will be some proper rain overnight, which will have accumulated about 10mm by the time it clears away mid-morning Tuesday. The afternoon should then become sunny, but rather breeze with that SSW’ly wind still being force 4-5. Max temps 15-16°C on Monday, 16-17°C on Tuesday. Overnight minima 11-12°C each night.

Surf and the Water

Clean 3-5 foot surf on Monday, reducing 2-4 feet on Tuesday. Some decent windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions too. Staying with those big spring tides, but this time with some wind and waves to make it a little disruptive… highs in the morning rush hour, 9.3m Monday and 9.2m Tuesday. The other highs will be after dusk (slightly higher but with near empty roads). Low tides will be in the early to mid-afternoons.

Wednesday to Friday

Weather

Gradual increasing sunshine through Wednesday. Sunny but likely with some most or fog patches (mainly along south and east coasts) on Tuesday, then straight-forward sunny and very warm on Friday. Winds generally SE’ly (light to moderate). Max temps likely 17-18°C on Wednesday, 20-21°C on Thursday and 23-24°C on Friday.

Surf and the Water

Super-clean 3-4 foot surf (some consistency at last). Great conditions for swimming too, thanks to the warm and settled weather, although there is the chance of sea mist on Thursday. Tides will be shrinking day by day… with late morning highs of 8.8m Wednesday, 8.4m Thursday, 7.9m Friday. Low tides will be late afternoon/dinnertime.

The next forecast update will be on Monday or Tuesday…
