Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 04 June 2026

Thursday and Friday

Weather

A couple of days with sunshine and showers in varying proportions. Thursday much windier than Friday. Both days very similar in terms of max temperature (17-18 °C), but Thursday feeling a lot chillier due to that wind. Starting with Thursday, the showers will be most prevalent in the morning and the sunshine in the afternoon. The wind a strong force 6 W’ly, meaning that Town will feel a lot more sheltered and pleasant than most other parts of the Island. On Friday, the showers will be much fewer and further between, so there’s a chance that Guernsey will slip through the cracks and escape dry. In the morning, the wind will still be WSW’ly (moderate force 4) but by late afternoon it will drop off to a light force 2 S’ly, making the start of the weekend feel quite a lot nicer than most other times this week, even though the temperature will only be in the high teens to start the evening and then the low teens to finish.

Surf and the Water

BIG surf… 8-10 feet and very choppy on Thursday, then 6-8 feet and still choppy dawn Saturday, becoming 4-6 feet and super-clean through the afternoon and evening. Thursday obviously the best day for windsurfers and kitesurfers, Friday obviously the best day for sea-swimmers. Tides will be 8m high at 9:40am Thursday and 7.8m high at 9:40am Friday. Low tides will be in the late afternoons.

The Weekend

Weather

Saturday morning (and maybe lunchtime too) will be very wet and windy, with a strong force 6 S’ly, possibly even blasting strong force 7 at times. The afternoon will be much drier and sunnier, but the wind will still be quite brisk and chilly feeling, a fresh force 5 WSW’ly. Sunday will then have a similar wind story to Friday… a moderate SW’ly in the morning becoming light and variable in the afternoon. Skies will turn cloudy whilst that wind slackens off though, so once again the temperature is unlikely to surpass 18°C.

Surf and the Water

The wind will be very hard to manage on Saturday morning, but it could make waves as large as 10-12 feet, so the north coast could offer something slightly easier than the west (at least in terms of size). The afternoon will then become choppy but be great for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Sunday then increasingly good for swimming on all coasts, and great for west-coast surfing too (4 feet and clean). Tides will be 7.6m high at 10:50am Saturday and 7.1m high at 11:40am Sunday. Low tides will be around dinnertime.

Next Week

Weather

More ups and downs I’m afraid, as winds will be mostly SW’ly, with sunny days or half days, interspersed with cloudier and probably showery moments. Winds generally look lighter than this current week though, mostly light force 3 to moderate force 4, thus allowing a little bit of heat to build up through the long days, returning afternoon maxima to 21 or perhaps 22°C, and thus feeling more like June is supposed to feel. Overnight min temps dropping to between 12 and 14°C.

Surf and the Water

Cleanish 3-4 foot surf for the majority of the time… maybe one or two bigger moments and likewise a couple slightly smaller. Swimming conditions generally best in the north and east. Tides will be medium-small in range, with lows in the mornings (moving day by day from early to late) and highs in the afternoons (likewise moving gradually from lunchtime towards dinnertime).

The next forecast update will be on Saturday or Sunday…
