Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 07 June 2026

Sunday

Weather

A day of cloudy skies, thickening to give a spit and spot of the lightest rain at times, but more frequently thinning to let some hazy sunshine filter through. The huge improvement on Saturday though is with respect to the wind, decreasing from a light force 3-4 SSW’ly in the morning to just a light force 2 by late afternoon. Beautifully comfortable to be out and about, even though there’s nothing remarkable about the 18°C afternoon max, and the 12-13°C overnight min.

Surf and the Water

Increasingly clean 5 foot surf, gradually shrinking to 3 feet, but with small enough tides for conditions to be good all day. Swimming conditions will also become better on all coasts, as winds fall lighter and lighter. Tides will be high at 11:40am (7..1m) and low at 5:50pm.

Monday

Weather

Windier than Sunday, but nearly a blustery as Saturday was. Generally moderate force 4 WSW’ly in the morning and WNW’ly in the afternoon, occasionally tickling fresh force 5 and therefore making the 17°C max temp feel more like 12-13°C. As for the weather, the morning will be mostly cloudy with a spell of rain between around 8 and 10am. Lunchtime and the afternoon should then be mostly sunny, but a brief shower or two will be possible by evening, then becoming increasingly likely overnight.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be 4-5 feet and choppy, best suited to kitesurfers really. Swimming conditions will be far better on the east coast than on any other, especially down at Fermain. Tides will be about 7m high at lunchtime. Low tides will be around 6:30am and 6:50pm.

Tuesday to Thursday

Weather

Three days of moderate W’ly winds and mostly dry conditions. Only the odd brief shower, mainly on Tuesday, and a fairly even mix of cloudy spells and sunny spells. This will all result in a fairly repetitive temperature pattern, peaking between 16 and 18°C each day, falling to minima between 11 and 13°C each night. The east coast of the Island always feeling the most pleasantly sheltered. Watch out for sunburn each day, especially if you work outdoors, with the few hours either side of lunchtime generally having a UV index of 6 or 7.

Surf and the Water

Cleanish 3-4 foot surf for the majority of the time… maybe one or two bigger moments and likewise a couple slightly smaller. Swimming conditions best on the east coast throughout. Tides will be medium-small in range, with lows in the mornings (moving day by day from early to late) and highs in the afternoons (likewise moving gradually from lunchtime towards dinnertime).

Friday and The Weekend

Weather

Increasingly dry and sunny, as high pressure settles near the mouth of the Channel, bringing a light to moderate NW’ly breeze to the region. This won’t allow too much in the way of heating, but we will probably see about half a degree’s rise per day, leading to a max of 20-21°C by Sunday. Night time temperatures

Surf and the Water

Generally 2-3 foot sloppy choppy surf, but possibly a little bigger and cleaner on Sunday. As with previous days, east coast will be best for sea-swimmers. Tides will be high around 6am and 6-7pm. Low tides will be around midday.

The next forecast update will be on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning…
