Wednesday
Weather
After a chilly night, with a dawn temp of about 3C, we should be in for another mostly sunny day, with temperatures returning to a max of 8C and the ENE’ly wind picking up to force 4. The only fly in the ointment is the chance of some low cloud and mist during the morning, drifting across from France. However, this is going to be more of an issue for Jersey, whilst Guernsey and Alderney probably get off quite lightly
Surf and Tide
Lovely clean west-coast waves again, but dropping off to a more modest 3 feet. High water will be 7.7m at 5pm.
Thursday
Weather
We’re in for an almost identical day to Wednesday, in terms of temperature, wind and mostly sunny weather. Once again, there's just a slight risk that the morning will be a bit cloudy and misty.
Surf and Tide
Pretty teeny waves, with only a foot or two of swell surviving if we’re lucky. Till lovely and clean though. One for the longboards and paddle boards I think. High water will be about 8.5m at 6-10am and 6:30pm.
Friday
Weather
After another chilly night, with a min temp of about 3-4C, we should bounce back to a slightly sunnier day again, with temperatures nudging up to 8C or possibly even 9C if we’re lucky.
Surf and Tide
Lovely clean west-coast waves again, but dropping off to a more modest 3 feet. Low water will be at lunchtime. High water will be 7.7m at 5pm.
The Weekend
A couple of cloudy but mostly dry days, with rain and drizzle probably not arriving until about noon on Sunday. The wind and temperature will be the other changes. The wind a moderate S’ly on Saturday and a fresh SW’ly on Sunday. This bringing much milder air than previous days, probably lifting us to 10C on Saturday and about 11 or 12C on Sunday.
Next Week
Mild, windy (mainly SSW’ly or WSW’ly) and often wet. Sure, there will be some dry days to separate the wet ones, but any finer moments will only be brief. Another lengthy settled spell currently doesn't look likely until mid February.
The next forecast update should be with you on Friday evening.
