Guernsey Weather Fox

7-day Forecast. Starting Saturday 25/01/2020

Saturday

Weather

Probably very similar to Friday in terms of general cloudiness and mistiness, with just a little brightness if we're lucky. There will be a bit of give and take in terms of wind and temperature, with the temperature peaking a couple of degrees higher than on Friday, but the fresh SSE’ly wind making it feel every bit as chilly.

Surf and Tide

This day will have the cleanest surf for the foreseeable future, so grab it while you can. The morning will be best, when the swell is about 2-3 feet and the tide ebbing away from an 8.9m high at 6:50am.

Sunday

Weather

With the wind becoming strong and coming from the SSW, this will be the day that we see real change. The temperature rising a further couple of degrees, reaching double figures for the first time this week actually. The weather should be rather cloudy but dry until lunchtime. After that we shall see increasingly heavy rain, until it all clears through soon after dusk.

Surf and Tide

Still fairly clean, but a bit more difficult due to the cross-offshore being so strong. The waves should be a healthy 4 feet in the morning, and maybe briefly 5 feet in the late afternoon, when the tide is returning from its 2pm low.

Monday and Tuesday

A couple of showery days. Yes there will be some sunny intervals, but the showers will be rather heavy and a bit squally when they come. Winds will be strong SW’ly on Monday and very strong (possibly gale force) W’ly on Tuesday. Monday will be the milder day, similar to Sunday with a top temp of 10 or 11C. Tuesday however, will only peak at 8 or 9C, and some of the showers might even have some hail mixed in with them.

The Rest of Next Week.

Becoming significantly milder, with temperatures likely to be in the low teens by Friday.

The next forecast update will be with you on Sunday evening.
