Monday
Weather
So we may not have had it as bad as the UK, but it's still been rather rotten all weekend and I'm afraid Dennis isn't done with us yet. Nope, because we are in for a full day of strong force 6-7 WSW’ly winds and occasional blustery showers. There will be some sunshine in between the showers, but despite that, temperatures will be at least two degrees cooler than on Saturday and Sunday.
Surf and Tide
Another BIG wave day, but frustratingly choppy I'm afraid. If you are going to have a crack at something on the north coast, then I can tell you that high water will be about 7.1m at 12:50am.
Tuesday
Weather
The morning and early afternoon won't be much different from Monday, with the odd blustery shower whistling though on those persistent strong WSW’ly winds. However, we should see a steady improvement towards the end of the day, as a slightly gentler WNW’ly ushers in more settled conditions for an enjoyable midweek moment.
Surf and Tide
Another choppy one, but not quite so massive, so maybe Portinfer and Vazon will offer something vaguely manageable. High water will be about 6.9m at 2:30pm.
Wednesday
Weather
A damp morning, but then we should dry up in the afternoon and hopefully see some sunshine filtering through the wispy high cloud. Winds will be moderate W’ly for the most part, perhaps a bit fresh at times, and we might just nudge up to an afternoon max of 11C.
Surf and Tide
Although onshore, the winds might just be light enough for the 4-5 foot west-coast waves to be pretty nice. Tides still small, just reaching a 7m high at 3:50pm.
Thursday and Friday
Up and down we continue to go, with a grey and damp day on Thursday and bright and mostly dry day on Friday. Winds likely to be strong SSW’ly on Thursday morning, veering to a strong WNW’ly in the afternoon, followed by just a fresh SW'ly on Friday. Thus, especially with such small tides, Thursday morning and Friday afternoon will probably offer the best surf conditions of this week.
The Weekend
Fresh WSW’ly winds will bring mild air to the islands. Temperatures might just sneak up to 13C if we luck into a decent amount of sunshine. It's a long way off, so it's difficult to be too precise, but it looks as though the majority of that sunshine will come on Sunday, whilst Saturday is likely to be a bit more cloudy and showery.
The next forecast update should be with you sometime on Wednesday.
