Thursday
Weather
Looking for some positive spin, we should see some late afternoon sunshine and a beautiful sunset. Furthermore, it should be fairly mild, with a top temperature of about 11°C. Now for the negatives, the SSW’ly wind will get stronger and the rain heavier, as the morning progresses, then it won't be until about 2 or 3pm that a fresh NW’ly chases that heavy rain away. If you want to head out for a decent walk, then you couldn't do much better than a late afternoon stroll between Le Gouffre and Moulin Huet.
Surf and Tide
The best surf should be first thing in the morning, when Vazon should offer clean waves in the 4-5 foot range. The afternoon will be a choppy old mess I'm afraid. Low water will be 3m at 10;50am and high water will be 7.6m at 4:50pm.
Friday
Weather
A totally dry day, but somewhat spoilt by mostly cloudy skies and fresh to strong WSW’ly winds. Nonetheless, with plenty of potential to mow the lawn or dry the laundry, this should be one of the more useful days of this week. The max temp should be 11°C again. This time, the most sheltered area to enjoy any brighter spells, will be between Town and Fermain.
Surf and Tide
4-5 feet and reasonably clean again. This time the best waves should be through the afternoon. Low water will be 2.4m at 11;40am and high water will be 8m at 5:40pm.
The Weekend
A bit of a grey and murky couple of days I'm afraid. A continuation of the fresh to strong WSW’ly winds, will bring milder and moister air, so we can expect to see spells of mist and drizzle on both days (probably too windy for disruptive fog though). Temperatures will range between nightly minima of 9-10°C and daily maxima of about 12°C.
Next Week
With the school half term finished, you are probably expecting a sudden improvement in the weather. However, I'm afraid The current outlook is largely the same for next week as it has been for this week. Temperatures on the mild side of average, winds fresh to strong and generally alternating between SW’ly and W’ly as the weather alternates between wet and dry. On the positive side, by the end of the week, we will be so close to spring that the day-length will be almost half an hour longer and any well-timed midday sunshine could register a UV index of 3.
The next forecast update will be with you on Friday evening.
