Saturday
Weather
We are in for a much cloudier day than Friday, but it is going to be similarly mild and similarly breezy, with a top temperature of about 11°C and a fresh to strong SW’ly throughout. The biggest difference from Friday, will be some brief spells of drizzly rain and hill-fog during the daytime, and then a more prolonged spell during the evening and night.
Surf and Tide
Some big and powerful surf at Vazon for the experts; and maybe some clean beginner friendly 1-3 foot waves up at L’Ancresse. Low water will be 2m just after midday and high water will be about 8.4m just before 6am and just after 6pm.
Sunday
Weather
Even thicker cloud and a stronger SW’ly wind on this day. The max temp could be as high as 12°C despite persistent hill-fog and occasional drizzle. Head to the area between Town and Fermain to find the most comfortable conditions for a walk (closely followed by the stretch from Portelet to Pleinmont).
Surf and Tide
The surf will be a similar size to Saturday but probably a tad more choppy. The tides a bit larger though, with an 8.9m high at 6:30am and an 8.8m high at 7pm.
Monday and Tuesday
An unsettled pair of days, as a deep low pressure system makes its way across Northern Britain. Far enough away hat we certainly won't get the worst of it. However, the winds will probably be gale force or at least very close to, through the majority of both days. The wind direction will change slowly from SW’ly to WNW’ly, and as this transition occurs, the air will get colder and the precipitation will change from drizzly murk to heavy showers of rain and hail. We should see some sunshine on Tuesday, but the temperature will struggle to reach it’s 9C max, and the wind will make it feel as though it’s quite a lot colder than that.
The Rest of Next Week
Wednesday will carry on as Tuesday left off, with very chilly air and a mix of sunshine and blustery hail showers. Thursday and Friday should be a couple of degrees milder, as the wind backs to a WSW’ly direction and eases off just a little, dropping down to fresh force 5 or strong force 6. It's not looking like great weather though, with skies mostly cloudy and with occasional light rain or drizzle. On the positive side however, by the weekend, we will be so close to spring that the day-length will be almost half an hour longer and any midday sunshine could register a UV index of 3.
The next forecast update will be with you on Sunday evening.
