Saturday
Weather
A peach of a day, with bucket loads of sunshine, just as soon as the early morning low-cloud and mist has cleared off. The breeze should be a moderate E’ly, meaning that the west coast beaches will probably be the loveliest place to go for a good walk (and maybe even a swim). Max daytime temp 13°C, minimum night-time temp 8-9°C.
Surf and the Water
Super-clean 3-5 feet surf. You’ll just have to work around the tides, which will be high shortly before dawn, low at 11:30am and high again shortly after dusk.
Sunday
Weather
Another corker of a day (I think we really deserve a weekend like this). The wind will be from the ENE, bringing slightly cooler air though, leading to a max of just 11-12°C this time, followed by a min of 7-8°C.
Surf and the Water
Definitely still good for some fun though, and the timing of the timing of the tides will be just half an hour later than on Saturday (highs of around 8.6m).
Monday and Tuesday
Weather
Some very fortunate timing here, with all the rain falling on Monday night, whilst we stay dry throughout the daylight hours of both Monday and Tuesday. That overnight rain will come with a cold front though, so we can expect temperatures to carry on falling. Monday’s max will probably be 11°C and Tuesday’s only 10°C. Furthermore, the skies will become increasingly cloudy and the moderate N’ly breeze will have a bit of a bite to it. (Head to the south coast if you fancy a pleasantly sheltered stroll).
Surf and the Water
Monday morning’s surf might still be 1-2 feet and fairly clean, but it will certainly be choppy and almost flat by Tuesday. But on a more positive note, lunchtime sea-swimmers will find some lovely low-tide conditions at south-coast beaches like Petit Port and Jaonnet Bay.
The Rest of Next Week
Weather
Wednesday will probably be dry, with only a small risk of the odd light shower. The N’ly wind will be much lighter too, so it probably won’t feel as cold as Tuesday, even though the temperature probably won’t exceed 10°C. After that, it’s all looking very unsettled... Strong SSW’ly winds and a spell of heavy rain on Thursday, then similarly strong NW’ly winds and frequent showers on Friday.
Surf and the Water
Friday’s surf is probably going to be hideous but Wednesday and Thursday are both offering some fairly clean conditions... Hopefully 2-3 feet on Wednesday, picking up to 4-5 feet on Thursday.
The next forecast update should be with you on Sunday evening.
