Mostly cloudy with the odd bright interval in the morning and afternoon, then some longer sunny spells in the afternoon. There will also be some fairly heavy showers, these most frequent during the afternoon. As for the wind, that’s going to be a fresh SW’ly in the morning, veering to a strong W’ly in the afternoon. This means that Town will always be the most sheltered and warmest area… max temp 18-19°C.
Surf and the Water
Great conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. As for the west-coast waves, they will be 5-6 feet, fairly clean in the morning then very choppy in the afternoon. If you are swimming then your best options will be on the east coast around high tide (6:40am or 7pm).
Sunday
Weather
The better day of the weekend, by a whisker. The temperature just nudging one degree higher, giving us a max temp of 19-20°C in Town. The sunny spells slightly more plentiful than on Saturday and the showers not so frequent or heavy. As for the wind, not much change there, with a fresh force 5 WSW’ly throughout.
Surf and the Water
Great conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing again. As for the west-coast waves, they will be 4-5 feet and rather choppy. Once again the best swimming will be on the east coast around high tide (7:20am and 7:40pm)
Monday
Weather
The gradual improving trend will continue, with the WSW’ly wind dropping off to moderate force 4 and the clouds and showers also fewer and further between. The highest temperatures will be in Town and at Fermain… 20°C. Most other areas will only peak at 19°C.
Surf and the Water
The surf will continue to be about 4-5feet but it should become slightly cleaner than on Sunday and really quite good by the evening. A fairly large tidal range with a low of 1.9m at 2:20pm and a high of about 9m at 8:20pm.

Weather
The chance of a little light rain on Thursday, as a weak weather-front nudges into the area. Otherwise, it’s looking dry and settled; the winds always light and the skies often sunny. The direction of the breeze will be generally S’ly or SW’ly, meaning that the air will be on the mild side of average but it won’t be proper summer hot. Daily maxima will probably be between 20 and 22°C.
Surf and the Water
Probably a full week of clean 2-3 foot range, which certainly isn’t too bad for this time of year. The tidal range will be pretty large though, with highs of between 8.7m and 9.2m, so the quality of your sessions will vary according to your timing and your crowd-dodging skills.
