Thursday
Weather
The dry and settled weather will continue through Thursday, with the only difference from previous days being that the light force 2 breeze will change to a S’ly direction. Sunshine will be really plentiful and the temperature should peak at 16°C in most areas, and maybe 17°C in Town.
Surf and the Water
The waves will only be big enough for longboarders and kids, but just like Wednesday, they will be super-fun and gorgeously clean. High tide will be just a tiny one at lunchtime. Low water will be around breakfast time and dinner time.
Friday
Weather
Dry again, but with a tad more cloud than on Thursday and with another change of wind, this time to a light force 3 NW’ly. Given that the temperature will be a bout a degree lower than on Thursday and that there will be just a little more strength in that breeze, it will probably be worth choosing the right area to really feel warm. This time it’s going to be the south coast cliffs and beaches that are top of the charts.
Surf and the Water
The surf will be about the same size as on Thursday, but it will be choppier, so it’s really looking like the prime activities will be swimming and paddle-boarding in all those beautiful south-coast nooks. Small tides again, with a low of 3.9m at 9:30am and a high 7.1m at 3:30pm.
The Weekend
Weather
Moderate force 4 S’ly winds will bring mild air to the islands but with rather cloudy skies and a little bit of patchy rain at times. The precise times of that rain are uncertain at the mo, but it looks as though they are more likely to be in the night-time than the daytime, so it probably won’t play spoiler to any outdoor activities that you have planned. Daily maxima 17°C in most places but maybe 18°C in Town. Nightly minima 13-14°C.
Surf and the Water
Any surf that we might be treated to will be clean as a whistle. However, it’s not likely to exceed 1 foot (just a slim chance of a few 2-footers on Sunday afternoon). As for the tides, they will be getting a bit bigger again, as the moon approaches fullness… High water will be about 7.7m at 4:40pm on Saturday, then about 8.3m at 5:30pm on Sunday.
Next Week
Weather
All change from the lovely light winds of the previous week. To be honest, the weather doesn’t look too bad. There will be showers, but they will be very few and far between and the temperature should peak at 18-19°C every day. Back to the wind though, because that is going to be the really noticeable feature… we are probably talking about a bit of a persistent blast, with fresh force 5 or strong force 6 SSW’ly winds throughout.
Surf and the Water
Lovely clean waves and fantastic conditions for windsurfing and kite-surfing every day. Those waves 3-4 feet on Monday and 5-6 feet on every other day. Pretty big tides, with highs (mostly around 9m) at breakfast time and lows at lunchtime/early afternoon.
The next forecast update will be on Friday evening…
