Wednesday
Weather
Cloudier than Tuesday but most of that cloud will be very high, so it will still be bright and best of all it will be gorgeously windless, making for really comfortable conditions in all parts… 21-22°C for the max temp.
Surf and the Water
Glassy 2 foot surf on the west coast and perfect swimming/paddle-boarding conditions all around the Island. High water will be at breakfast time and dinner time (7.6m and 8m respectively). Low water will be just shy of 1pm.
Thursday and Friday
Weather
There will just be a gentle force 2-3 NW’ly breeze. Not much stronger than on Wednesday, but just enough that the south and east coasts will be noticeably warmer due to their shelter. Skies will alternate between cloudy and sunny on Thursday, perhaps leaning slightly in favour of cloudy, maybe even squeezing out one or two brief light showers. Friday totally dry though, with skies predominantly sunny and, as such, taking temperatures slightly higher… 22-23°C for Thursday’s most likely max, then 24°C for Friday.
Surf and the Water
The surf will only be 1 foot and sloppy, pretty much flat really. Gorgeous swimming and paddle-boarding opportunities along south and east coasts though. High tides will be breakfast time and mid-evening. Low tides will be early afternoon.
The Weekend
Weather
Moderate W’ly breezes will bring another two days of mixed cloud and sunshine (with only the smallest chance of a brief light shower on Saturday). This will definitely feel a tad cooler than the previous days in most parts of the island. However, Town will be almost as warm and comfortable, with most likely max temps of about 22°C each day.
Surf and the Water
The onshore wind might just whip up enough west-coast chop for the kids to surf some sloppy 2 footers by the time the tide pushes in on Sunday late afternoon/evening. Other than that, we are probably talking about flat surf and therefore keeping the focus on the east coast for swimming and paddle-boarding. High tides will be around breakfast time and dusk. Low tides will be mid-afternoon.
Next Week
Weather
It’s looking like more pleasantly average weather, with a mixed bag of cloud and sunshine. There will be a few chances of rain, either from isolated showers on Monday and Tuesday or perhaps from a longer spell of rain on Wednesday. No major promises of that though. Winds will be moderate force 4 for the most part, gradually veering from a W’ly direction on Monday to a N’ly direction by Friday.
Surf and the Water
The tides will be slipping later into the day… highs shifting from late morning to lunchtime, lows shifting from late afternoons to dinnertime. The west coast will stay choppy, but there should be some rideable 2-3 foot slop to keep the surfers entertained on most days. Swimming conditions will start off best on the east coast, but gradually become better on the south coast.
The next forecast update will be on Friday…
