Sunday and Monday

There could be some mist and hill fog during the mornings, coming from the low cloud that is brought over from France by the moderate SE’ly wind. The rest of each day should be lovely and sunny though, and there should be some gorgeous starry skies overnight. Max temps will be about 10°C and min temps should be about 5°C.

Surf and the Water

Super-clean surf both days... 3-4 feet on Sunday and 2-3 feet on Monday. High water will be in the mid to late mornings... 7.8m on Sunday and 7.5m on Monday. Low water will be in the late afternoons.

Tuesday and Wednesday

Weather

Another couple of mostly sunny days, but the wind just nudging round to a S’ly direction by the end of Tuesday and a SW’ly by the end of Wednesday. Those winds still just moderate force 4 in strength, so they won’t be strong enough to have a major chilling effect on the 11-12°C maxima, but they will certainly be strong enough to dry your laundry in a jiffy.

Surf and the Water

2 foot surf on Tuesday, picking up to 4 feet by the end of Wednesday. Both days super-clean again. Furthermore, with high tide around lunchtime (7.1m and 6.8m respectively) the majority of daylight hours will be good for surfing.

Thursday and Friday

Weather

With a force 4-5 SW’ly wind on Thursday and a light F3 W’ly on Friday, the air will be about as mild s the previous days but much more moist. This moisture will mainly manifest itself as cloud, but that cloud will often be very low, meaning that there will e further deterioration to misty and drizzly at times (especially on Thursday night and Friday morning). Max temperatures… 11-12°C, min temps only a tiny bit lower than that… 9-10°C. Conditions always slightly better (and temperatures maybe a degree higher) in Town.

Surf and the Water

Both days will be good along the east coast for winter swimmers. As for the surfers, well the west coast will continue to provide fun, rideable waves, but they will be a bit mushy compared to the pristine perfection of the previous days… 3-4 feet on Thursday, then 5-6 feet on Friday. Low tides mid-morning, high tides mid to late afternoons (6.9m and 7.4m respectively).
