Tuesday
Weather
There might be one or two showers in the late morning and the afternoon. But they are more likely to miss the Island and leave us with a straightforward mixture of cloudy spells and sunshine. Winds will be similar to the previous day, but it will obviously feel much nicer without all that grey sky and rain. Max temps will be about 16°C (probably feeling warmest between Pleinmont and Vazon).
Surf and the Water
Super-clean 4-6 foot surf and some good windsurfing/kite-surfing conditions, especially late morning. Swimming conditions will be best along north and west coasts around high water… roughly 7.1m at 11:30am. Low tide will be at 5:45pm.
Wednesday to Friday
Weather
The chance of a shower every day, but the greater likelihood is that they will all stay over or very close to France. Therefore, we should see lots of beautiful sunshine and it will be the wind that determines how high the temperature climbs… likely 16°C with the force 4 SE’ly on Wednesday, then 17°C with the force 3 NE’ly on Thursday and the force 2 NW’ly on Friday.
Surf and the Water
Clean surf every day, but the swell will be steadily decreasing… 3-4 feet on Wednesday, then 2 feet on Thursday and Friday. Swimming conditions will generally be best along the north and west coasts through Wednesday and Thursday but all coasts will be lovely and smooth on Friday. Day by day, the times of high water will progress from lunchtime to mid-afternoon (roughly 6.6m). Low tides will be around breakfast time and in the evenings.
The Weekend
Weather
Light N’ly breezes will bring another two days of mixed cloud and sunshine… perhaps a little more cloud than the previous days (although this is far from certain). If there are going to be any showers, then they look most likely on Saturday night and Sunday morning, but it’s almost impossible to be so precise about such things at 4-5 day’s range, so keep an eye on forecast updates if you are planning to have a Saturday night barbecue. Temperatures will most likely continue to peak at 16-17°C.
Surf and the Water
The surf should be 1-2 feet on Saturday, then likely flat on Sunday. Swimming conditions will become particularly lovely along the south coast, although the winds will generally be light enough for the other coasts to be pretty smooth as well. Low tides will be in the late mornings. High tides will be in the late afternoons (increasing incrementally from 6.9m to 7.5m).
The next forecast update will be on Thursday or Friday…
