Tuesday
Weather
A cloudy and drizzly start, but this shouldn’t last longer than breakfast time, then we should see partially cloudy skies for the rest of the morning and early afternoon, before we see fabulous blue sky through the late afternoon and evening. Whilst all those changes occur, the wind will only be a light force 2-3 W’ly, so the max temp of 20-21°C should feel lovely and comfortable, even if it is rather ordinary.
Surf and the Water
Clean 3 foot surf and beautifully smooth water for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. Tides will be 8.7m high at 8:50pm and then low at 3pm.
Wednesday and Thursday
Weather
A couple of similar days to each other, with partly cloudy/partly sunny skies and the threat of one or two showers. The greatest threat of a shower appears to be in the night time, so we shall probably find that outdoor activities and laundry drying etc are completely unhindered during daylight hours. °C. Winds will be light force 3 WSW’ly on Wednesday, backing SW’ly or perhaps even SSW’ly on Thursday (possibly increasing moderate force 4 at times). Temperatures will probably peak at 21°C on Wednesday and then 23°C on Thursday.
Surf and the Water
Cleanish 3 foot surf again (probably a little bigger and cleaner on Thursday). Great swimming conditions on the east coast throughout, and likely on the north and west coasts on Thursday too. Tides will be high in the mid-mornings (8.7m and 8.5m respectively) and low in the mid-afternoons.
Friday and The Weekend
Weather
Friday morning will see the passage of a weather front (just a little patchy rain… nothing too heavy), which will mark the transition into an upward trend thereafter… increasing amounts of sunshine in the afternoon but a rather average max of 20-21°C with a moderate WSW’ly breeze. Saturday then dry and much sunnier, with the breeze staying W’ly but reducing to a barely noticeable light force 2. This should allow a Saturday max of between 22 and 24°C. Then, on Sunday, with similarly sunny skies but an E’ly breeze bringing hot air from the continent, we will probably see temperatures in excess of 25°C. Be aware, however, there is some uncertainty in the forecast at the moment, so it would only take a small change for us to miss out on that pulse of hot air… keep an eye on forecast updates to see how the story develops.
Surf and the Water
Choppy sloppy 2-3 foot surf on Friday, most likely followed by much cleaner surf of a similar size on Saturday and Sunday. Tides will be high in the late mornings (reducing incrementally from 8.3m to 7.6m) and low in the late afternoons.
The next forecast update will be on Thursday evening…
