Tuesday
Weather
This is the misty murky day of the week, only in the morning though. This is thanks to a very gentle WSW’ly wind. It will still be extremely light in the afternoon, but the directional shift to a NW’ly will just allow slightly drier air to move in and lift the cloud a bit higher in the sky. Temperatures will hover around 15°C all day long, but probably slip up to 16°C in Town. If it’s going to rain at any time then it will probably be in the first half of the morning, and it will only be patchy drizzle.
Surf and the Water
A lovely pulse of 3 foot west-coast surf, kept lovely and clean by the lightness of the wind (albeit wafting in an onshore direction). Swimming conditions will be lovely in all areas, especially around high tide. Low will be at 10:50am, high at 4:45pm (8.1m).
Wednesday
Weather
A mixed bag of cloud and sunshine, as Tuesday’s low cloud is gradually chased away by a gentle ENE’ly breeze. Certainly no drizzle on this day. Temperatures will peak around 15-16°C again, so it should feel similarly comfortable to Tuesday, but with the brighter skies will make it look a little prettier.
Surf and the Water
Super clean 3 foot surf along with gorgeously smooth water for swimming in. Tides will be low at 11:30am and then high at 5:20pm (8.4m).
Thursday and Friday
Weather
A super-sunny pair of days, with the ENE’ly wind gradually increasing slightly (light force 3 to moderate force 4). This will be strong enough to make the west coast feel slightly more comfortable than the east, and for the south coast to feel slightly more comfortable than the north. No great shifts in temperature though, still peaking at 15°C but just sneaking up to 16°C in one or two sheltered areas.
Surf and the Water
Semi-clean 2-foot surf… probably rideable but really nothing special. Swimming conditions will be smoothest in the west and the south. Tides high around dawn and shortly after dusk (ranging from 8.6m to 8.8m). Low tides will be at lunchtime.
The Weekend
Weather
Both days dry. Satuday currently looks quite cloudy then Sunday probably lovely and sunny again (such detail is quite uncertain at this early stage though). Winds will be E’ly moderate force 4, so west will be best in terms of warmth. Island-wide maxima of 14-15°C but probably feeling much nicer in the shelter of the sea walls at Vazon and Cobo. Night time temperatures will be on the low side, probably falling to around 8°C… still not cool enough for frost though.
Surf and the Water
Clean 2 foot surf (probably). The west coast also best for swimming again, but the tides generally being too low except for around dawn and dusk. The highs will be about 9m… slightly before damn on Saturday and slightly after on Sudnay.
Due to the difficulty of finding wifi on holiday, my next forecast update won't be until Sunday evening…
