Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 03 March 2025

Tuesday

Weather

Sunny and dry, with a gentle ENE’ly breeze… virtually the same as the past few days. Probably peaking at 11°C. Everywhere will feel lovely, but the west and south coasts will probably be the cream of the crop. Chilly overnight again, with a min temp of roughly 3°C and a ground frost in places.

Surf and the Water

Clean 3 foot surf on the west coast. Some decent swimming conditions in all parts but especially in the west (at the likes of Cobo and other such spots that are sheltered from the surf). Tides will be about 9.3m high at 9:30am, then low at 3:45pm.

Wednesday

Weather

A small wind-change, to a light force 2 SE’ly, will cause the temperature to rise another degree (12°C for the max) and feel gorgeously spring-like. The night will be noticeably milder too, probably not dropping below 6 °C.

Surf and the Water

The west-coast surf will be 2 feet and super-clean. Swimming conditions will be great on all coasts but especially the west and the north. Tides will be about 8.6m high at 10:05am, then low at 4:25pm.

Thursday and Friday

Weather

Thursday morning and lunchtime should be super-sunny. After that, it will probably (but not definitely) be the end of this brief dry spell. The cloud, which will have become prevalent through Thursday afternoon, will perhaps be thick enough to deliver a few showers on Friday, possibly some rather heavy ones. Winds will be force 4-5 SE’ly and the airmass generally mild. Temperatures should creep up to 13°C each day, then fall no lower than 8-9°C for the minima.

Surf and the Water

Brisk offshore breezes will make for super-clean surf, 1-2 feet on Thursday then 4 feet on Friday. Windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions will be pretty good, especially on Friday. Tides will be high in the late mornings (7.9m on Thursday, then just 7m on Friday). Low water will be around 5pm and 6pm respectively.

The Weekend

Weather

Fresh force 5 SE’ly winds will bring more mild air, despite cloudy skies both days, the chance of a brief light shower on Saturday and then some more prolonged rain in the second half of Sunday. Temperatures will probably hover around 10-11°C through the daytime and around 8-9°C through the night time.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be about 2-3 feet and clean, but the strength of the offshore wind might make it better for windsurfers and kitesurfers than for regular wave surfers. Tides will be low around breakfast time and high in the early afternoons (very small… just 6.5m on Saturday and 6.7m on Sunday).

The next forecast update will be on Thursday morning…
