Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 01 July 2025

Wednesday

Weather

A stronger NW’ly wind than the previous day. This will lead to slightly lower temperatures and certainly a cooler feeling. The morning will start cloudy with showers, but Tuesday’s mist and fog will be a thing of the past. Sunshine should prevail by lunchtime and then the afternoon should be glorious but the wind will be at it’s strongest (fresh force 5), so you will have to shelter at Fermain or in one of the south coast bays in order to feel any warmth. Max temps will be about 21°C in the afternoon. Min temps will be about 15°C towards the end of the night.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be 2-3 feet and very choppy, but the windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions will be good. The south coast will be great for swimming, especially towards high water. Tides will be high at 12:15pm (7.4m). The lows will be at 6:20am and 6:30pm.

Thursday and Friday

Weather

Dry both days, and gorgeously sunny for the bulk of the time. Only clouding over during Friday late afternoon or evening. The breeze will be a light force 3 NNE’ly though Thursday, then variable force 2 through Friday. This will feel much more comfortable than the relatively windy Wednesday, but the temperatures won’t be much different, probably peaking at 21-22°C on Thursday, then 22-23°C on Friday. As for the night’s, Thursday’s clear sky will lead to a low of just 12-13°C, but Friday’s cloudier skies probably won’t fall any lower than 15-16°C.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be about 2 feet on Thursday and only 1 foot on Friday. Swimming conditions will be lovely both days on all coasts, but especially the south. Low tides will be at breakfast time and in the mid-evenings. High tides will be around 1pm and 2pm respectively (7.1m and 6.9m)

The Weekend

Weather

An unsettled story I’m afraid… both days windy (most likely fresh force 5), but the wind direction will vary from a SW’ly on Saturday to a W’ly on Sunday, the former being a milder airflow but with cloudy skies and occasional rain, the latter being a cooler airflow but with sunny spells between only the briefest shower or two. Both days will peak at around 19-20°C in most areas, but possibly slide up to 21°C in Town.

Surf and the Water

Cleanish surf through the first half of Saturday, but increasingly choppy thereafter… probably increasing from 1 foot to 3 feet through Saturday and then holding around 4 feet through Sunday. Swimming conditions will always be best at Fermain, but also pretty good in sheltered northern or western nooks on Saturday, and maybe in some southern nooks on Sunday. Tides will be low around breakfast to mid-morning and high in the mid-afternoons.

The next forecast update will be on Friday morning…
