Guernsey Weather Fox

Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 04 July 2025

Friday

Weather

Almost as sunny as Thursday was. Just a bit of high cirrus cloud making the sunshine rather hazy and muted. Winds will be lovely and light though… generally force 2-3 NW’ly, meaning that the 21-22°C top temperature feels very pleasant in all parts but especially in the east and the south. Overnight min temp 15°C

Surf and the Water

Smooth swimming conditions but flat surf. Tiny tides, with lows close to 8am and pm. High water will be around 2pm (only 6.8m).

Saturday

Weather

The breeze will gradually increase from a light force 3 WSW’ly to a fresh force 5. These strengthening winds will also come with worsening weather, some spits and spots of light rain in the morning, turning to drizzle for a spell around lunchtime, some mid-afternoon sunshine but then some heavier rain developing in the evening. The wettest moments might also have a little hill-fog, meaning that air traffic could experience one or two brief delays, but never more than an hour or so. Max temp 21°C, min temp 15°C.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be 2 feet by the end of the day. Swimming conditions will be best on the east coast, especially at Fermain and Havelet. Tiny tides, with lows close to 9am and pm. High water will be at 3pm (just 6.9m).

Sunday

Weather

A drizzly start, with mist and hill fog, but this will lift pretty soon and the drizzle will be replaced by bright or sunny spells and only the most isolated of showers. Winds will be Force 4-5 WNW’ly, so the east coast will be the most sheltered and comfortable area (especially Town). Max temp only 19°C. Min temp 14°C.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be very choppy but also very rideable… roughly 4-5 feet all day. The only smooth swimming conditions will be on the east coast and maybe in a couple of south coast bays around high water. Low tide will be around 10am and pm. High water will be around 4pm (7m).

Next Week

Weather

Monday will hang on to the fresh force 5 and rather chilly wind (NW’ly), but we should say goodby to the showers pretty early (probably already over by morning rush hour). Sundahine will then prevail, and dominate for the rest of the week. Tuesday’s winds will relax to light force 3 and then the rest of the week having virtually no wind whatsoever. With this calmness and clarity, max temperatures will rise day on day. After a very low-scoring Monday, we should see a steady climb from 21-22°C on Tuesday to as much as 27-28°C by Friday.

Surf and the Water

Choppy 4 foot surf on Monday, shrinking to a marginally claner 2 feet on Tuesday. Wednesday currently looks flat but clean 1-2 foot waves may return for Thursday and Friday. As for the swimming conditions… Monday will be all about the south coast, Tuesday will be best down there but pretty good elsewhere too, then the rest of the week will be gorgeously glassy all round. Tides will initially be low in the late mornings, then in the early afternoons by the end of the week. High tides will be around dawn and dinner time (increasing to 8.6m by the end of the week).

The next forecast update will be on Sunday evening …
