Saturday
Weather
A beautifully windless day, with less cloud than the previous, which means that we should peak a little higher, reaching 23°C rather than Friday’s 22°C. The night should be marginally milder too, because a force 3 E’ly breeze will come along, maintaining the influence of the sea around us, thus only falling to 15°C rather than Friday night’s 14°C.
Surf and the Water
The surf will be 1-2 feet and glassy. Swimming and paddle-boarding conditions will be just dreamy on all coasts. High water will be 8.8m at 7:40am and 9.2m at 7:50pm. Low water will be around 2pm.
Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday
Weather
Sunny and very warm, with temperatures peaking around 24°C and 25°C respectively. Mild in the night time too, with minima of 17°C and 16°C respectively. The breeze will be pretty light on the whole, but not as light as Friday and Saturday. It will be a noticeable SE’ly for most of the time… genrerally force 3, maybe just sneaking up to force 4 for the odd moment. This is if course the wind-direction that imports heat from France, and that’s why it should feel so lovely and warm (especially along the west coast.
Surf and the Water
Sunday’s surf will be about 1 foot at best, but some decent 2-3 foot waves will come along on Bank Holiday Monday… conditions mostly clean on Sunday and super-clean on Bank Holiday Monday. Swimming conditions will be loveliest on the west coast for most of the time, but the north and south coasts will have some special moments too. High tide will be at breakfast time and dusk (ranging between 9m and 9.3m). Low tide will be in the mid-afternoons.
Tuesday to Friday
Weather
Showers every day here, but only very light on Tuesday, potentially very heavy at times on th subsequent days. There will also be some sunshine though.. coming and going. The biggest influence on the temperature will be the strength of the SW’ly wind, probably force 3-4 on Wedneday and Thursday, then force 5-6 on Friday. As such, the daily max temps will probably be no better than 21°C (always feeling warmest in Town and Fermain).
Surf and the Water
The surf is promising to be very powerful... 8-10 feet on Tuesday, with the potential to be breaking well on the north coast as well as the west. At 6-8 feet, it might be just west-coast affair on Wednesday. Then at 3-5 feet, Thursday and Friday will be a strictly west-coast affair. Tides will be high in the mornings and low in the afternoons. Big tides initially… over 9m in the first half of the week, then decreasing to about 8.5m on Thursday and 8m on Friday. Swimming conditions will be best in the east.
The next forecast update will be on Wednesday...
