Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 16 November 2025

Monday

Weather

A less windy and less cloudy day than the previous, so it should feel quite pleasant, even though the air will be inherently cool… starting the day in single figures and only rising to a max of about 11-12°C. The morning will have the chilliest feeling during daylight hours, because the NNE’ly wind will still be moderate force 4 then. It will relax to light force 3 by mid-afternoon though, and then fall almost calm after dark, allowing an overnight minimum of about 5-6°C with the first threat of a ground-frost for this season.

Surf and the Water

I foot surf, messy all day except perhaps the last hour or two. Lovely swimming conditions on the south coast though. Low tide will be at 10:50am and high tide will be at 4:40pm (8.2m).

Tuesday

Weather

Winds will be lovely and light at dawn, but it won’t be long before a force 3-4 W’ly kicks in. Then, in the afternoon, it will increase to fresh force 5 with the arrival of patchy rain and drizzle. All making for a rather uncomfortable day, with a max temp of no more than 10-11°C. On this occasion, the east coast (pretty much the only time this week) will be the most sheltered and comfortable.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be flat as a pancake but the east-coast swimming conditions will be good. High tides will be around 5am and 5:20pm (8.4m) and low tide will be around 11:30am.

Wednesday to Friday

Weather

Thre days of N’ly breezes… force 4-5 on Wednesday (which will feel very chilly), force 3-4 on Thursday and then just force 2-3 on Friday. Wednesday and Thursday will be partly cloudy and showery (possibly with some hail mixed into the rain). Friday should be nice and sunny though, which combined with the lightness of the wind will make it feel far more pleasant than the previous two days. Max temps will be about 10-11°C on Wednesday, 9-10°C on Thursday, and 12-13°C on Friday. Min temps will be about 6-7°C each night (again, with the slight chance of a ground frost).

Surf and the Water

Maybe some 2-3 foot waves on Wednesday, maybe some 1-2 footers on Thursday, and then it could be anything from flat to 4 foot on Friday. Swimming conditions will be best on the south coast throughout, although Friday will be pretty smooth on all the other coasts too. Tides will be high around dawn (ranging from 8.6m to 8.8m) and low around lunchtime.

The Weekend

Weather

With the breeze changing to a force 3-5 SW’ly, mild air will return to the Islands, albeit with plenty of cloud and occasional rain. This means that we will probably see 13°C maxima in most parishes but probably 14°C in Town.

Surf and the Water

Cleanish 2-3 foot surf on the west coast, and some decent swimming conditions on all coasts except the south (probably best of all on the east). Tides will be high around breakfast time and in the mid-evenings (8.7m reducing incrementally to 8.2m). Low tides will be in the early afternoons.

The next forecast update will be on Wednesday…
