Guernsey Weather Fox

Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 24 November 2025

Monday

Weather

A strong force 6 and very gusty W’ly wind through the morning, bringing some heavy showers, with a risk of hail and thunder, especially between 8 and 10am. By midday the wind, still just as brisk, will have veered NW’ly and then we should see fewer showers and a bit more in the way of sunny interludes. Temperatures will hold steady around 10-11 through most of the day, but maybe just hit 12 during the early afternoon. Overnight min temp… 7°C, whilst the wind veers to a force 4-5 N’ly.

Surf and the Water

Very messy 6 foot surf on the west coast, but maybe some cleanish and almost rideable 2 footers on the south coast. Good windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions in the north and west. Reasonable swimming conditions on the east coast in the morning and on the south coast in the afternoon. High tide will be 8.4m at 8:20am. Low tide will be at 2:40pm.

Tuesday

Weather

The N’ly wind will gradually decrease from fresh force 5 early morning to light force 3 by evening. This cooler airflow will only allow a 10°C max, but this ought to feel pretty pleasant along the sheltered south-coast cliff paths. Skies will then be starry and winds will fall almost calm overnight, allowing the temperature to plummet to a min of 3-4°C, and farmers/growers should be aware that a ground frost is possible in the coldest locations.

Surf and the Water

Messy 4 foot surf on the west coast in the morning, relaxing to cleaner 2-3 foot surf by dusk. Reasonable windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions through the first half of the morning. Good swimming conditions on the south coast, especially during the afternoon. High tide will be 7.9m at 8:50am. Low tide will be at 3:15pm.

Wednesday to Friday

Weather

Despite the improving trend of Tuesday, we will descend back into an unsettled regime through the rest of the week… Daytime Wednesday looking like a relatively gentle SW’ly wind with ever thickening cloud, followed by stronger winds and persistent rain through Wednesday night and much of Thursday. Friday then looks likely to have some much heavier rain, but the duration and therefore the total amount are very uncertain. Daily max temps likely around 13°C, and feeling particularly mild in sheltered areas like Town and Fermain.

Surf and the Water

Cleanish 1-3 foot surf on Wednesday and Thursday, then messy 4-6 foot surf on Friday. Reasonable windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions throughout, and good swimming conditions on the east coast throughout. High tides will be in the mid to late mornings. Low tides will be in the mid to late afternoons.

The Weekend

Weather

It currently looks as though we will have a very wet and windy Saturday (probably force 6-7 WSW’ly), but this should be followed by a sunny Sunday, with just a force 3-4 WNW’ly. This will probably lead to a reasonably high temperature on Saturday… about 12°C but a feels-like temperature that is more like 6°C. On Sunday, however, the actual max temperature will probably only be 10-11°C but the feels-like temperature would be a relatively pleasant 8-9°C, making it the nicer day in pretty much every way.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be messy on Saturday but relatively clean on Sunday. Wave heights should be about 6 feet reducing to 4 through Saturday, then 3 feet reducing to 2 feet through Sunday. Tides will be low around dawn and high around lunchtime.

The next forecast update will be on Wednesday or Thursday…
