Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 14 December 2025

Monday and Tuesday

Weather

Partial sunshine on Monday, with force 4-5 SSE’ly winds. This will bring mild air to the Islands, much like the previous days, so the top temperature will be about 13°C and if you find a sheltered nook like Pleinmont or Richmond then it should feel pretty lovely. Tuesday is a bit less certain, as the wind will change to a light force 3 NNW’ly and rain will either be overhead or very nearby. Either way, this means cloudier skies and a slightly cooler airflow, so the temperature is unlikely to exceed 11°C on that occasion. If it does turn out to be dry on Tuesday, then the south coast will be the most comfortable area to go for a decent walk or a run.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be 4-6 feet and super-clean on Monday, then semi-clean on Tuesday. If the west coast proves to be a little too choppy on Tuesday then there is also the chance of some good stuff where the wind will be properly offshore… down on the south coast. Low tides will be around 9am Monday and 10am Tuesday. High tides will be around 3pm Monday and 4pm Tuesday (7.4m and 7.5m respectively).

Wednesday and Thursday

Weather

Wednesday morning looks dry and sunny with a light force 3 SW’ly breeze. The afternoon will then see cloudier skes and a couple of showers, as the wind strengthens to a moderate force 4 S’ly. Thursday will then see the nastiest weather, as a strong force 6 S’ly brings persistent rain, some of it on the heavy side. Max temps around 12°C and 13°C respectively. Thursday having the higher number, but certainly feeling much less pleasant due to the rotten wind and weather.

Surf and the Water

The west-coast surf will be super-clean, gradually increasing from about 4-6 feet on Wednesday to about 12 feet by the end of Thursday. Thursday’s swell will be very powerful too, easily pushing around the corner to make some classic waves in L’Ancresse bay. Winds will be strong enough to keep the windsurfers and kitesurfers highly entertained on Thursday too. Low tides will be in the late mornings. High tides around dusk… 7.7m and 8.1m respectively.

Friday and The Weekend

Weather

And the ups and downs continue. Friday being mostly dry and sunny, with light winds. The only showers coming late afternoon and evening. Saturday then wet and very windy, not too dissimilar to Thursday. Sunday calming down though… returning to similar conditions to Friday, the only difference being that the Sunday’s force 3-4 breeze will come from a SE’ly direction, unlike Friday’s SW’ly.

Surf and the Water

More clean and generally huge waves for surfers… probably 10 feet on Friday and Sunday, briefly shrinking to 6 feet on Saturday. However, Saturday will be by far the best day for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Tides will be high shortly before dawn and shortly after dusk (ranging between 8.2m and 8.7m. Low tides will be around lunchtime.

The next forecast update will be on Thursday morning…
